Car rental terms

What you need to rent, how the deposit works, and what obligations the renter takes on.

Terms used

Lessor — the person providing the car for rent.

Lessee — the person renting the car.

What documents are needed to rent?

When picking up the rental car, you must present a valid driving license held for 1–3 years and a Moldovan ID card. Minimum age — 21 years.

What is the deposit?

The deposit is a sum of money held for the duration of the rental. If the car is returned undamaged, the full amount is refunded when the rented car is returned. The deposit amount depends on the car's make.

Payment of the rental fee and deposit is made on the day the rental agreement is signed.

What happens in case of an accident?

If the car is involved in a traffic accident during the rental period, you must notify your manager immediately.

Renter's obligations

  1. 1 Să folosească automobilul conform destinației sale, cu respectarea normelor tehnice, a regulilor de circulație și a prevederilor contractului.
  2. 2 Să nu folosească automobilul pentru transportarea sau remorcarea altor vehicule.
  3. 3 Să nu se afle la volan în stare de ebrietate alcoolică sau sub influența substanțelor narcotice ori psihotrope.
  4. 4 Să folosească automobilul exclusiv pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova. Ieșirea în afara RM sau pe teritoriul regiunii transnistrene — doar cu înștiințarea și acordul prealabil al Locatorului.
  5. 5 Să returneze automobilul la expirarea contractului în aceeași stare în care a fost predat, ținând cont de uzura normală.
  6. 6 Să nu folosească automobilul pe post de taxi sau pentru instruirea la conducere.
  7. 7 Să nu participe la curse auto, competiții sportive sau teste.
  8. 8 Să nu depășească viteza maximă admisă — 90 km/h în localitate și 130 km/h în afara localității (pe propria răspundere). În cazul depășirii regimului de 130 km/h de trei ori, Locatorul are dreptul să rezilieze unilateral contractul, fără restituirea sumei achitate pentru închiriere.
  9. 9 Să nu ofere automobilul închiriat spre folosință unor terți — nici contra plată, nici gratuit.
